- Aug 2000: Midland Pressure Diecasting Ltd (MPD) is established by Managing Director Mr. Ash Suman. Manufacturing both zinc and aluminium components with 4 diecasting machines and operating from Ezekiel Lane, Willenhall, West Midlands.
- Feb 2001: MPD purchases new zinc diecasting machine, increasing its capacity to 220 tonnes.
- Feb 2003: Due to our continuous improvement policy and our constant need to satisfy customer requirements, MPD becomes ISO accredited.
- Jan 2004: MPD opens an additional aluminium foundry and expands its capacity in aluminium diecasting with machines ranging from 150 to 660 tonnes. We now operate from 2 sites on Ezekiel Lane, Willenhall.
- Dec 2006: MPD buys out Darlaston Diecast Alloys Ltd and Darlaston Diecasting Co Ltd, two of the most successful privately owned companies in the UK which were established in 1947. The merge of the 3 companies, Midland Pressure Diecasting Ltd, Darlaston Diecast Alloys Ltd and Darlaston Diecasting Co Ltd now forms Midland Pressure Diecasting Group Ltd (MPD Group). The MPD Group is now located on Ashmore Lake Way, Willenhall and our plant list now includes 25 diecasting machines, a fully equipped machine shop and an in house tool room all operating from a 50,000sqft freehold premises.
- Nov 2007: MPD Group purchases 5 frech zinc diecasting machines. The new range consists of 20, 125 and 315 tonne machines. Our policy to constantly improve in our plant and machinery has led to the investment of frech diecasting machines. With this wide range, we can supply various component weights at faster cycle rates and benefit from them being fully automated
- Jan 2009: MPD Group purchases a 200 tonne FRECH Zinc diecasting machine with a pick and place robot. Our range now consists of 20, 125, 200 and 315 tonne FRECH diecasting machines.
- Feb 2009: MPD Group purchases 2 off 420 tonne (with auto ladle), 1off 320 tonne, 1 off 180 tonne and 1 off 120 tonne aluminium diecasting machines. We have also invested in other plant and machinery, including a 20 cubic meter vibro bowl - ideal for large size castings.
- May 2009: Due to the further expansion of the MPD Group, we have decided to redevelop our existing site on Ashmore Lake Way, Willenhall. This includes installation of new diecasting machines, construction of a new 10,000sqft building to add to our existing site and the re-structuring our existing plant and machinery. This development is part of our continuous improvement policy which we have adhered to since the day of our establishment.
- Oct 2009: MPD Group purchases building next to existing site. Now operating from 2 freehold sites - total floor space in excess of 80,000sqft.
- Feb 2010: MPD Group purchases MAYS Pressure Diecasting Ltd (Hayes, London) - MPD Group further increases its capacity. 1 off 120T / 1 off 250T aluminium diecasting machines -fully automatic with pick and place robots, a Shotblasting Unit and 3 off CNC Machines.
- May 2010: MPD Group purchases FRECH 5t zinc diecasting machine.
